Waterlow Legal Services for The Public HelpWaterlow Legal is rapidly becoming a highly convenient and efficient look-up tool for individuals in search of legal advice. This section is carefully arranged into the areas of legal practice most commonly sought after by the public and each of the 10 zones link directly through to search pages from our Solicitors' Firms Directory which can be used to identify a legal adviser with the relevant area of expertise.
Areas of Legal ExpertiseTo get the most out of the Public zone, simply decide what sort of enquiry you are seeking legal advice about. For example, if you believe you have been unfairly dismissed or have been the victiim of any form of discrimination at work, you should go to the Employment Law page. And if you are about to make a will, you should consult the Wills & Estates page. Whatever your enquiry, we have a relevant page linking through to law firms who have told us these are their areas of expertise. When you land on the search page of your choice, simply follow the instructions on that page to view what firms are available in the location of your choice with the expertise you need. Performing Your SearchOnce you have identified the which Public Zone is relevant to your enquiry, use the drop down menu to review the different areas of expertise within this field. For example if you are looking for legal advice on buying or selling a house, you would select Property Law and then choose Residential Conveyancing from the Area of Law drop-down menu. Each individual area of law has explanatory text to help you identify whether or not this sort of advice is appropriate for your enquiry. You can also add a town of your choice into the search box. Although we have some 600 or so towns in our online directories, we don't cover every village. For example, a search on Littlehaven will produce 0 results, but a search on the nearest major town, Haverfordwest, returns a good range. Once you have got your results, you can order these by A-Z of firm name or location. Remember that if you have entered a town into the search screen, there will be little variation in the location. However if you have entered a part name of a town (such as En) you will return a set of results that have all the towns which contain those letters.. In this example, you would see Enfield, Hatch End, Enderby and Enniskillen. You are then able to click through to the firm you have selected. Some firms have full profiles and you can obtain details about all their areas of expertise, their work schemes (for example if they work on a No Win No Fee basis), what languages they can speak in and even whether or not they can offer suitable access for the disabled.
